Pick something else if you can!

I bought this gas range because I needed a new stove and I found it on clearance. I had the cash for it, so that was the real motive behind selecting this model. Didn't need to charge any of it.
First, the grates were light gray. IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean. Whirlpool did replace them with black ones. Second, the top stained around all the burners. No way to keep it clean. Even the little foil burner bib pans don't work right. the center circle is too large on the foil pans so soils just burn on next to the burner. Yuch! Whirlpool finally sent me a new top, but it cost me $75 to have a tech install it. They don't want you to use steel wool on it to clean it. How do you remove baked on food spills? This range has no removable pans around the burners which would help if there were some.
I am really sorry I bought this stove. The oven bakes colder than my old one. I did check the temp but stuff just takes longer in this stove.
I did have my propane company convert this for me and hook it up. They also checked out the stove. They did make a few adjustments to the flame size.
The burners can be lit with a match when the power goes out, but the oven can NOT be used without electricity. My daughter was without power for 2 weeks during an ice storm so anymore you have to think about stuff like that.
If I had to do it over, I would find a new Brown or other brand with a pilot lite-one that doesn't have to have electric to work. The small amount of heat with a pilot can be used for making yogurt in your oven. Or just turn the pilot light off and use a match. This stove uses electric to work which means it costs you something just plugged in. If you wanted to put it in an off grid home, it would drain electric always.
The different sized burners are fine--it has a large canning burner and a simmer burner. The different sizes are not a problem. I actually think my old GE electric back up when having a crowd stove in the basement bakes way better than this oven. I cook all the time. Bake bread, etc.
Pass on this model.
