Terrible battery problems

The phone functions well, but I went through 3 separate phones in one year and now my warrantee is no longer valid so I am hooped. The reoccuring problem? There appears to be a problem where the phone will not charge... it is not the battery and it is not the charger.... it seems to be where the charger plugs into the phone. It loses connectivity so it no longer charges... same problem with all 3 phones and now I can not use because it will not charge.
