Today I needed new ink cartridges for my Lexmark X2500 printer. So I went to Walmart, purchased the usual dual pack of one black and one color to save money.($40) I'm not sure how that works because when I add up the individual packs they come out to the same cost...anyway,
When I got home I began thinking, I can only print "4", yes, "FOUR", full color pages or about 140 pages of text per cartridge. I began wondering just how much ink was in these things so I grabbed one of the emptys and popped the lid off.
Holy Cow was I surprised!
The are three small sponges inside that look like they were dabbed in ink and stuffed into the case. Now keep in mind, each one of these cartridges cost me $20.00!
The Blue and Yellow sponges are 1" tall, 3/8" wide and 1 1/2" long.
The Red Sponge is 1" tall, 1" wide and 1 1/2" long.
You can see how much of the Sponges have any ink on them.(Can't load the photos,damn!)Anyway they are barely wet!
It doesn't take Einstein to figure out I'm getting RIPPED-OFF!!!
Given the price I paid and the quantity I received I would venture a guess they are gouging us for at least a thousand dollars a gallon!!
You more than likely are too, no matter what printer your using.
I'm sending this "discovery" and my complaint to Lexmark, the Consumer Protection Agency, the Better Business Bureau and my Congressman and anywhere on the web I can post it!
