Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6200VW cabinet rust through

Have owned this washer for exactly 3 years (purchased 6/10). Noticed rust eating through cabinet both inside and out. Neither Sears (where purchased) or Whirlpool will take any responsibility for the issue. It's considered cosmetic. However, I have chunks of rust falling onto my LR floor and it won't take long before there's a hole in the side of the cabinet. Unacceptable quality and I will need to replace machine. I also purchased an extended warranty that doesn't expire until 2015. Extremely disappointed in lack of quality and assistance from either company mentioned above. Will research over and over and will have to purchase a new washer. I can tell you, it won't be a WP and it won't be purchased from Sears! Will also make a complaint to consumer reports, any and all consumer agencies I can and social media!
